Today, I came across this short documentary on ethical fashion on YouTube. It brought me to tears in the realization that this is why Salts Clothing has the mission it does. We choose ethical manufacturing, eco friendly choices and giving back to empower women into business for themselves. The hardships faced by workers around the World as they fight for a livable wage and safe conditions as our country consumes cheap fast fashion is a sad commentary on our collective social responsibility.
I am honoured to be able to use my gifts for clothing design to create some change in this industry and am thankful to those who support ethical fashion by making the choice to support ethical manufacturers.
