Salts have long been used in ancient cultures as a preservative for perishables.  We chose the name in the dream that we can be part of the solution for preserving this planet that we call home.  Everyday we make it our mission to change this Earth for the better, preserve the beauty around us and to create beauty for you to wear.

Salts was established in 2005 in a beachside trailer with a vision for creating quality clothing with fabrics like certified organic cotton, viscose from bamboo clothing, linen clothing, hemp, Tencel and merino wool.  We love what we do and we hope you will enjoy it too. We strive to find the most funtional non-toxic natural fibers to use in our clothing. Design and use of the garment is importants to us so we want to carefully craft designs that you will LOVE to wear.

Salts & West Design

Salts natural and organic clothing is designed with comfort, style and usability in mind. Our clients say that they can wear our clothing for many different uses from the beach to the board room all with a change of accessories.  That’s what we love to do, we strive to design products that are incredibly wearable, flattering and stylish.  We are often told that our pieces are among the favourites of our clients and receive years of steady wear.  Salts Clothing styles strive to be flattering on many body types. Combining comfort with style and ease of wear, makes our natural clothing a beautiful investment.

Salts & West Production

We design and produce our garments in the small City of Camrose Alberta in Canada. We produce by cutting in house and using local seamstresses.  Salts & West Organic clothing is a community based project that delivers high quality employment opportunities to women in our area.  This process allows us to monitor closely the fit and quality of our garments as well as make new designs frequently.  If you want to be first to know when we are making new items and receive pre-ordering discounts please sign up for the VIP email newsletter. Salts & West Fabrics

We source our natural and organic fabrics from ethical sources.  All of our blends of fabric are OKEO-TEX Standard certified dyed.  This means that our fabrics have been tested to ensure that they have no traces of harmful chemicals.  Our organic cotton fabrics are also third party certified through a GOTS certificate.

We are working daily to source the best methods of producing the finest in garments for our clients.  Our vision is to give you the confidence that the work that has gone into your new garment is fully transparent and of course made with love.

Salts and West is sold in our Online Store as well as you can visit us in person at the Studio in Camrose, Alberta. We are open weekdays 12-5pm in the studio at 4917 50th Ave, Unit 207 (take the stairs by the tailor shop up, if you need the elevator let us know ahead of time via email), downtown Camrose, Alberta.
