Linen has been around for thousands of years, and it's still making waves as one of the most versatile materials on the market today. But what is Linen Clothes? Linen is a plant-based fabric that's made from the fibers of the flax plant. It gets its name from the Greek word linum, which means "flax". The fibers are extracted from the stem, or bast, of the plant, then spun into yarn and woven into fabric.

Linen clothes are typically very lightweight and breathable, making them ideal for hot weather or warm climates. They're also durable and resistant to moisture—which makes them great for travel! Because they're often made up of natural fibers, they have a tendency to wrinkle easily—but also have a tendency to wash out beautifully after just one wash cycle in cold water (without any fabric softener). Linen is perfect for anyone who wants to look good without sweating buckets during those summer months.

How are linen clothes made?

The process of making linen clothing starts with preparing the flax plant for harvesting by cutting off its leaves and drying them in order to preserve them for later use (they're used to make paper). Once fully dried, it's time for harvesting! Workers cut down flowering stems and strip away their outer layers until they reach the inner core—that's where we get our fibers! After this process has been completed, we can start spinning our yarns. To do so, workers will take raw fiber and spin it into long strands known as rovings; those rovings are then twisted together into even longer strands.

How do you Care for your Linen Clothing?

You've got linen, and you love it. We get it! Linen is super soft, breathable, and perfect for springtime adventures. But there are a few things that can go wrong with your linen if you're not careful.

Here are some tips for caring for your linen:

1) Hang to dry - Washing and drying your linens in the machine will cause them to shrink and wrinkle. Instead, hang them up to dry after washing them.

2) Don't over-wash - Linen is great because it's breathable and can stand up to rainy days out in the woods or at the beach. But if you over-wash your linens, they won't be as absorbent anymore! So try to handwash them when possible (just don't use too much soap!).

3) Leave room for movement - Linen wrinkles easily, but don't worry about that! Just make sure to give your clothes plenty of space when hanging them up—that way they'll have room for all their new creases!

Let us know how you like to enjoy wearing your linen clothes.
